Juanyi(Jenny) Xu received a B.A. (1996) in Economics and a M.A. in Political Economics (1998) from Zhejiang University, China, a M.A. (1999) in Economics and a Ph.D. (2004) in Economics from the University of British Columbia.

Jenny's research interests are in international macroeconomics, monetary economics, macroeconomics and international trade. She is currently working on using stochastic dynamic general equilibrium model to explain the exchange rate disconnect puzzle. She is also working on optimal monetary policy and exchange rate policy for emerging market countries, and the formation and the policy implication of the world dollar standard.
